Laundry Rakyat
Laundry Rakyat is a comprehensive mobile application ecosystem designed to digitize local laundry services. It provides users with a seamless interface to order laundry services, choose packages (e.g., kiloan, satuan, dry cleaning), select pickup/delivery times, and track order status in real time. It also features a driver interface for coordinate logging, ensuring drivers can navigate optimized pickup routes.
Challenge
Traditional laundry businesses relied heavily on manual paper logs, leading to miscalculated package weights, lost garments, and inefficient delivery routing. Customers had no visibility into whether their clothes were being washed, dried, or were already out for delivery.
Approach
I developed Laundry Rakyat using Flutter to create a uniform cross-platform app, allowing customers and drivers to access services from any device. The client app connects to a central backend tracking status transitions, while driver routing is calculated via spatial coordinates to minimize fuel usage.
Outcome
Administrative errors were reduced to near zero, and laundry processing times dropped by 35%. Customers reported high satisfaction due to the transparent order tracking steps and automated WhatsApp/in-app status alerts.
