Deep Focus is a mobile productivity application built with Flutter that helps users reclaim their attention during work sessions or quality time. The app allows users to lock distracting applications, monitor daily screen time across all apps, and automatically activate Do Not Disturb mode — so you can actually finish what you started without constant interruptions.
Challenge
The average person checks their phone 96 times a day. Social media, messaging apps, and notifications are engineered to pull your attention away from deep work. Existing focus apps are either too rigid or too easy to bypass when willpower runs low.
Approach
Built with Flutter for cross-platform reach, Deep Focus uses Android's UsageStatsManager and AppOps APIs to enforce app restrictions at the OS level — not just reminders you can ignore. The Q-Time mode was designed specifically for parents who want to reduce their kids' screen time during family hours.
Outcome
Deep Focus puts you back in control. By combining hard app locks, automatic DND, and honest screen time data in one place, users report significantly fewer distractions and more consistent productivity — without needing superhuman willpower.
